The Gospel Oak-Barking line electrification is to be completed by early next year with the Class 710 trains to be using the line once new overhead wires has been installed and erected along the route which there is a challenge for Network Rail because of the bridges that are quite low compare to other bridges that are built higher and is easier to install new overhead wires. Plus stations will have the platforms lengthened to fit a 4 carriage electric train at the station.
